We are currently open for Oversized 26' custom bandana commissions.

Example:

Do you have an idea for a bandana that you just can't find on the market? Need an oversized bandana because normal ones don't fit on your fursuit? We can fix that problem for you!

Want a bandana with duckies on it? Hearts? Bones? Puppies? Kittens? Fishies? Beer? Snow? Tribal prints? Animal Prints? You name it and we can find the fabric and make it into a bandana for you!

Just send us a message with what kind of print you'd like on your bandana and we'll search far and wide to find the perfect print. We'll send you photographs of the print, and when you approve we'll take payment and make it right on the spot. Once the fabric is bought we can mail the finished bandana same day! All seams are hidden, machine sewn, and starched for crispness. Pretty nice, huh?

Oversized custom 26"x26" Bandana's are $18 a piece!
Regular sized 22"x22" custom Bandana's are $15 a piece!

Just send us a note or e-mail us at StartFromScritch@Hotmail.com and we'll set you up!

Can anyone out there make me a pair of cute toony eyes for a female dog head? They would need to be brown and have really good visibility (so preferably something other than buckram).
Thanks :]

The auction will be ending in twooooo weeks! So January 9th.

This fullsuit comes with the following:
-Head
-Body
-Hands
-Tail - Attached to the body

Does anyone have a good 1/2 yard of this color of fur: http://www.syfabrics.com/View.aspx/Long-Pile-Shaggy-Fur/Turquois-Shaggy-Fur/272/186 but in short pile? I'm looking for it to fur the face for this commission I have, and there is none to be found. I have one person who is going to take a photo of their fur for me to see if it's the right color, but I was wondering if you guys had any I could buy off of you?

Pictures needed in order to close deal. I do have paypal.

I have a layover in a couple weeks at the cincinnati/covington airport in Kentucky. Does anyone perchance know if there are any good places there for me to eat? I have a long, long flight before that, and I won't be getting back home to Salt Lake until about 8 that night (I get into CVG around 4 and sit for a few hours), so I was hoping to be able to eat during my layover. I won't really be able to pack food for the flight, other than chocolate, or I would just do that. I just want some peace of mind (or to tell my mom to have a big chipotle burrito waiting for me when she picks me up!)

Hello, veganpeople! I come with a Christmas surprise. His name is Cornelius.

Cornelius was found yesterday evening, Christmas Eve, in fact. He was loose in the middle of a busy road and covered in gasoline and demodex mange. Naturally, we pulled over and picked him up. He is now clean and comfortable in my utility room.

Unfortunately for Cornelius, we are renters and our landlord does not allow pit bulls. This pretty much means that if we do not find a rescue for him to go to before our landlord finds out, we will be forced to take him to animal control. We don't really want to do this. Can you help? Do you know of anyone who can?

Cornelius is located in Orlando, Florida, but we are willing to travel pretty far to make sure he's safe, even set up an out of state transport. He's a very friendly, enthusiastic boy. He doesn't appear to be terribly reactive towards dogs and cats, but he has only seen them while out on walks. All he wants to do is snuggle and play with squeaky toys. He looks to be about 8 months old and is unaltered.

Here are some pictures. Be warned, the demodex covers his entire body. He seems in good spirits in spite of how itchy and uncomfortable he is!look under here for an itchy dog )

this will be cross posted, so sorry if you see it more than once. Feel free to post his story wherever you please

first off, I'd post in vegan_ny, but it isn't very active.

okay, omni family is visiting on sunday and we are going to the Statue of liberty/eliis island, grabbing a quick snack, then heading to rockafeller plaza to see the tree, then either eating there or back to prospect heights (where I live).

my sister is pretty short tempered and gets angry when I make where we eat an issue. They want to eat in an omni restaurant (no possibility to sneak fake meat or something here). It can't be out of the way (like, farther than a 10 minute walk) from the alloted tourist palces*.

Any ideas? I don't know 30 rock area very well, and so far have only found blockheads as an option for the big meal or eating in park slope at pizza plus.

anything is really really helpful, especially for a snack place near where we would get off the statue of liberty ferry.

*by this, I mean if I make it "difficult" she'll just say "that's it, we are eating at the burger/pizza place right here and you can have a salad or pick the cheese out of your meal!"

Heads up

Chipotle at 17th and 8th avenue in Chelsea has a meal called Garden Blend which includes mock meat inside.

My partner ate it 4 times in a span of three days and says it's awesome.

I'm watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (family tradition that I'm making my FH participate in, lol), and though I hate turkey, I did see the one part where it comes out all dry and crunchy, and I realized that I miss that. Hard, crunchy, salty goodness... without the turkey flavor, lol.

So I did a search for vegetarian jerky, and I came across VeganDream.com's vegetarian jerky. I don't live in N CA, so I can't get it locally, but they have an option to buy online. Before I do that, though, I wanted to see if anyone had tried it, and if they recommend it. If not, are there alternatives?

Thanks in advance! And happy holidays, everyone! :)

Hi vegetarians! I went pescetarian a few months ago, finally segued into full vegetarian a week ago, and now I eyeball veganism. I love it and I feel better than ever in life. One problem:
I am SO FRIGGIN GASSY now.

Seriously. Always I be burping and farting, it's terrible. Mostly I eat nuts, beans, grains, greens, and roots, not a lot of fruits. But a lot of toots.

What should I do to remedy this situation?

As it's my favourite soy milk, I thought you'd all be interested in hearing that Bonsoy has been recalled - in Australia, at least - due to dangerously high levels of iodine. Link here, text below cut:

Do you struggle to wait to drink tea or coffee after iron rich meals?

What about soda or sparkling water after eating calcium rich foods?

I force myself to wait for at least an hour, it is annoying at times.
Should I pay that much attention to it?

My husband's mom eagerly showed me her copy of Food Inc. today and told me how it ALMOST got her to "join your side". I didn't go into my feelings on the movie but I'm happy it at least got her thinking. The only thing she said that's holding her back is that she believes you need meat to be healthy. Now, obviously that's not true so I'd like to send her links and articles backing that up. If anyone could give me suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. However, I don't want things from anywhere she could claim was biased (like PETA or a specific animal rights organization)and I don't want things that'll scare her either. She already likes a lot of vegan food to the point where her and her husband will eat my cooking and come out with me to vegan restaurants. So I feel like shes close to being able to go all the way, if she just could be convinced on the health aspect. I've given her recipes and cooked for them in the past which while they've appreciated it, hasn't been enough to get them to at least finally give up meat. I'd love any tips or advice for helping people transition along with articles that might help. Thanks!
